CATTLE FORCE PEN
USE CATTLE’S NATURAL INSTINCTS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE
LESS LABOUR, LESS TIME
REDUCED ANIMAL STRESS LEVELS
REDUCED RISK OF INJURY TO HUMANS AND ANIMALS
Cattle has a natural tendency to circle their handler.
Moving in a circular fashion makes the animal feel, it is moving back towards the place it came from, where it felt secure, as opposed to moving into unknown territory.
Research has shown that handling cattle in circular pens is up to 30% more efficient, taking almost 1/3 rd less time to perform the same operations.
Use our Circular Force Pen to easily get animals lined up and flowing into the race.
FEATURES FOR YOUR BENEFIT
The Force Pen ( 8m Ø) holds up to 30 animals at a time.
Unique 250 ° (instead of 180°) design, this configuration makes the link-up to the crush more effective by reducing the area where the sweep gate cannot reach.
CONVENIENT LEFT AND RIGHT HAND EXIT GATES
- Convenient walk thru for humans, no need to climb over the fence.
- Release problem animals from the pen out to pasture or back to the holding area for later entry into the race
- Sorting of animals
- Quick exit in case of emergency.
Side Panels are 1.6m high.
Robust construction: 6 x Crossbars of 48×2 round tube.
38 x 2 round tube vertical supports welded between all crossbars- this greatly increases the strength of the panels.
Panels are bolted together with slotted (for vertical & horizontal adjustment) 8mm plate mounting lugs, welded externally to the tubing.
No bolt holes puncture structural tubes- preventing rust from the inside.
Slotted joins between panels allows for vertical and horizontal adjustment- making it easy to assemble in the field.
Doors come with latch bolts as well as chain latches. The chain latches makes it easy to tie the gate into an open position onto another section of the kraal area.
The pillar top features adjustable crowns with slots to enable you to mount the top support arms easily even on uneven ground.
The Central Pillar is made of a 101 Ø x 3 mm pipe.
Removable Extra Heavy-Duty Hinges are adjustable, so that the sweep gate can be adjusted to make provision for uneven ground.
The pillar footplate is slotted so that it can be bolted to concrete or fixed to soil with dropper pins for installations in the veld.
The pillar doesn’t need to be buried in concrete thus making it easy to remove and reinstall in another position.
DESIGNED FOR EASY RELOCATION
Can be permanently mounted or easily transported between farms. It takes 30 minutes to assemble in the field. The central pillar and curved panels have footplates with holes that can be used to bolt the panel to a concrete surface , or to secure it to the ground with dropper pins, for temporary installation.
Also available with plated panels.
